RA Police Prepare for the Elections to Local Self-Government Bodies

A special team has been createn in the Police Central apparatus, with the order of RA Police Chief, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Gasparyan in order to establish public order during the RA elections to local self-government bodies, which will be held on September 9 and 23 .
The group headed by the First Deputy of RA Chief of Police, Police Major-General Hunan Poghosyan, the Deputy Chief is the Chief of Police Headquarters, Police Major-General Vardan Yeghiazaryan.
In the frames of the program approved by the Chief of Police during the preparation of the elections to local self-government bodies and during the elections, the coordinating team will organize the uninterrupted receipt of information, its development and summary, the handing of the temporary ID card to the citizens in case of lost or typed passports, as well as the armed guidance and the security of the transportation of t ballot boxes.
In order to organize the service in an appropriate way the Police regional departments will be given auxiliary forces in case of necessity. Measures are being taken to provide the uninterrupted communication between the regional bodies of the RA Police during the preparations of the elections and during the elections. According to the order, until August 25 operative headquarters will be created in the regional departments of RA Police, the plans of necessary actions will be plotted, and the supreme bodies, serving in the voting precincts, will be provided with serving notebook, where all the alarms concerning the violation of security and public order will be recorded, and which will be defined in the frames of the stated low, informing the coordinating group about the results.
According to the same order of RA Chief of Police, Vladimir Gasparyan, during the elections the contact with the media will be realized according to the requirements of the guide “contact of RA Police officers, adjacent to the RA government, with the mass media”.
The first session of the coordinating team will be held on August 9.
