Armenia’s representative Samvel Ter-Sahakyan defeated China’s Yi Wey in Round 5 of the World Junior Chess Championship held in Athens.
Ter-Sahakyan together with three players tops the standings with 4.5 points. Another Armenian Karen Grigoryan is the ninth with four points. Vahe Baghdasaryan is ranked the 50th.
To note, in Round 5 Ter-Sahakyan – Yi Wey fight ended with the victory of the Armenian chess player.
