Men from Armenian-Populated Village of Syria Fought against the Opposition and Defended the Village

The population of Dyuzaghaj village of Syrian Kesab Armenian county was in a fatal condition at night. When the Syrian governmental troops were mostly in the South, the opposition attacked the Fr’nl’kh military base near the Armenian village.
Women and children were able to move to other villages of Kesab and men stated to resist. Dyuzaghaj residents reported on this to Tert.am.
There are only few foreign families among the population of Dyuzaghaj, which is on the Turkish border.
During the resistance of the Armenians the governmental forces reached the area and ran battles, neutralized the rebels and positioned along the Turkish-Syrian border.
During the battles 3 soldiers and one civilian died. There are no Armenians among the victims. The dead person is an alalu Muslim, but knew Armenian very well.
At present 45 families live in Dyuzaghaj, 20 of which are Armenian.
