There were in-party contradictions: Karen Karapetyan

As it’s already known 8 members of “Free democrats” party – Ararat Zurabyan, Karen Savzyan, Hrach Hakobyan, Armen Baghdasaryan, Valentina Mirzoyan, Garnik Gevorgyan, Karen Karapetyan and David Arakelyan released a statement about leaving the party. The interview of Lurer.com with head ANM youth wing and already former member of “Free democrats” party Karen Karapetyan is presented below.

-What’s the main reason of leaving the party?
-We decided not to interpret the reasons of quitting the party yet.
-Can it be supposed that there is something to conceal inside the party?
-No, absolutely nothing to conceal. Moreover, the party is free in its actions and can release the statement, but we’re not going to interpret the reason yet, as we don’t want to attack any political force.
-If you don’t want to open the brackets, let me ask this way – how serious are those reasons?
-There were serious contradictions inside the party. They’re partially connected with elections, it’s even stated in the statement, that one of the reasons was elections.
-Now there are suppositions that, people leaving the Democrats intend to create a new political force, do you pursue such a goal?
-I’ll say one thing, none of us is going to quit politics, we’ll be in politics, but in which format, it’ll be clarified in the future.
-Is it possible that this format will be joining one of the current political forces, or you completely exclude that?
-Let me not speak of my future actions, not to go ahead of time, but I don’t think that such a thing will occur.
-Will you confirm the news, that even personal contact stopped between Qoqobelyan and those who left the party, particularly with Ararat Zurabyan?
-I can only say one thing – those who left the party, it’s already 3-4 months that we didn’t enter the party office.
