It’s International Youth Day Today

On December 17, 1999 by the decision of General Assembly of UNO August 12 was declared International Youth Day. It was adopted on August 12, 1998 by the offer of World Conference of Ministers in Lisbon.
International Youth Day was first celebrated on August 12, 2000. The holiday was declared pursuing the goal to raise awareness of youth on world program aimed at youth activities.
IN RA about 25% percent of population is youth.
Armenian Youth Foundation congratulated the youth of Armenia: “The cornerstone of development of Armenia is smart, educated, initiative, decisive and dynamic youth. At the times of quick development and changes, the role of youth rises sharply, as youth is the power, which can respond quickly to any challenge.
