“My dream is that my brother and I together stand on the medal podium in Rio [in 2016],” Armenia’s London 2012 silver medal-winning Greco-Roman wrestler Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg) stated during today’s press conference.
Also, he reflected on his Olympic gold medal match against Russia’s Roman Vlasov, whom he lost to, and said:
“His body was dry during the match, but the smell of the oil was being felt. An athlete starts to quickly perspire after thirty seconds, which is impossible without these oils.”
Armenia’s Olympic silver medalist also noted that Roman Vlasov had stated that Arsen Julfalakyan was his idle. “Vlasov said this about me two years ago,” Julfalakyan added, and continued:
“I keep contact with my opponents. I mostly communicate with the athletes from post-Soviet countries. But since I speak English, I also communicate with athletes residing in Germany.”
Arsen Julfalakyan’s dream is to stand on the 2016 Olympics’ medal podium with his brother.
“My brother likewise has a strong will. It’s just that he was unlucky, [and] suffered numerous injuries. My dream is that my brother and I together stand on the medal podium in Rio [in 2016]. [And] I will do everything to make it happen,” said Julfalakyan.
