Albert Musheghyan to Hayk Demoyan: “Instead of falling silent and burning with shame…”

Director of Armenia’s Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan’s thesis paper written in Russian continues inflaming passions. A group of intellectuals had a meeting in “Tree of life” cultural center yesterday, where Demoyan’s thesis was being discussed and criticized. One of the active participants and critics of the meeting was literary critic and translator Albert Musheghyan. Lurer.com talked to him.
The latter announced once more that there are numerous linguistic and semantic “absurdities” in the thesis paper.
“There are pages, where even 15-20 rude spelling and grammar mistakes are found. If a pupil gets an unsatisfactory mark for 8 mistakes and is deprived of a certificate, here you can find twice as much mistakes on each page,” said Albert Musheghyan.
“Instead of falling silent and burning with shame, Hayk Demoyan writes on his Facebook page: “Who’s that A.Musheghyan, a literary critic with average abilities, which entered the history garden and tramples”, as if he were a historian and I entered the history garden. That is to say, being a state figure, he speaks of history sphere with “garden”, this is his standard of knowledge,” added our interlocutor.
To the question of Lurer.com, what mistakes the speech is about, the historian brought an example: “He says “Kurdish cause”, Turkey should importantly take steps to neutralize Kurdish radical movement. What an instruction is this to Turkey, when Kurds treat well the Armenians there, restore a church in Diarbekir, rise the Armenian cause in Mejlis. And suddenly a thesis paper is written by an Armenian, which instructs Turkey to exterminate Kurds. Actually the director of Armenia’s Genocide Museum-Institute calls for Turkey. This is unforgiveable,” added Albert Musheghyan.
