Karekin II receives Austria’s Ambassador

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II today received Austria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Alois Kraut, whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin’s press service informs.
The Catholicos congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment, and wished him success in his new mission.
Also, Karekin II spoke with delight with respect to the current cooperation between Armenia and Austria, and he pointed to interchurch ties, specifically, the relations between the Armenian and Roman Catholic churches.
In addition, the interlocutors reflected on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, and the steps which the regional religious leaders are taking toward maintaining peace and solidarity in the region.
