Drunk air stewardess arrested on flight from Dubai

An air stewardess who was drunk on duty during a UK-bound flight from Dubai has been sacked after blood tests found she was eight times over the drink flying limit, The Daily Mail reports.
Stephanie Partington, 24, was arrested when her Emirates plane touched down in Birmingham after fellow cabin crew members raised the alarm over her behaviour.
Tests later revealed her blood alcohol level was eight times the legal limit for flight attendants.
Partington was charged under the Civil Aviation Act and appeared before Solihull magistrates yesterday.
The court heard she had been fired by Emirates.
Fiona Davis, prosecuting, said: 'She was working at the back of the plane and during the flight the purser became aware she was very loud and had to ask her to quieten down.
'At the end of the flight she was required to fill in paperwork and the purser noticed her handwriting was very bad and what she wrote was illegible.
Ms Davis said the captain felt Partington was drunk and called the police when the plane landed at Birmingham after a seven-hour flight on April 23.
She was arrested when she failed a breath test conducted by police at the airport but told officers she had not had a drink for eight hours.
Partington, of Selside Lawan, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to a charge of being under the influence of drink to such an extent as her capacity to act as a member of cabin crew was impaired.
She refused to comment as she left court. Emirates also declined to comment.
