Argentina stands ready to cooperate with Armenia at the highest level

Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Argentinean Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Héctor Marcos Timerman, who is in Yerevan on an official visit.
“We are confident that your visit will bring a new stimulus to the development of ties between our two countries. The governments of Armenia and Argentina need to exert efforts to make those ties become more diverse,” said Tigran Sargsyan.
In his turn, the Argentine FM gave a high assessment to the relations between both countries, and underscored the need to establish ties in a variety of domains, the Government press service informs.
“Argentina stands ready to cooperate with Armenia at the highest level. Argentina will positively respond to any proposal presented by you,” noted Héctor Marcos Timerman.
Subsequently, the interlocutors reflected on several matters of bilateral interest. They highlighted the need to make the activities of the Armenian-Argentinean Chamber of Commerce become more active. Tigran Sargsyan noted that Armenia is ready to organize an Armenian-Argentinean business forum in the future. And, in this context, they reflected on Argentina’s possible involvement in the projects toward processing agricultural products and in the free economic zones being formed in Armenia.
The interlocutors also discussed the development of bilateral ties and taking practical steps in tourism, science and health care.
In addition, Tigran extended his gratitude to Argentina’s authorities for giving a great attention to the country’s Armenian community.
