Eduard Nalbandyan meets Luxembourg’s FM

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on September 11 met with Luxembourg’s Deputy PM and FM Jean Asselborn, who is on an official visit to Yerevan at Nalbandian’s invitation.
Nalbandian stated that Armenia attaches an importance to developing collaboration with Luxembourg, a founding state of the EU, and noted that FM Jean Asselborn’s visit is a good opportunity to reach arrangement on the measures to be taken in this direction, Armenian MFA Press Service informs.
In his turn, Jean Asselborn stressed that he arrived in Armenia with a clear message of deepening ties and he delightfully recorded that Armenia possesses the same approach.
Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed a variety of matters including Armenia-EU relations. The two ministers also pointed to Armenia’s progress registered in the EU Eastern Partnership Project.
Nalbandian and Asselborn also reflected on several regional and international issues, and exchanged views on the developments unrolling in the Middle East.
In addition, Edward Nalbandian presented the latest developments with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and the situation caused by the release of the Azerbaijani murderer, Ramil Safarov.
Afterwards, the two FMs held a joint news conference.
