The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received today Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, who attended the CSTO CRRF ‘Cooperation-2012’ military joint exercise.
The President and the Minister discussed Armenian-Russian military and military-technical cooperation, issues related to regional security, existing challenges and international situation, as well as the joint exercises which were over on Wednesday, presidential press service reports.
Russian Minister also congratulated the President on the upcoming anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
In his turn, President Sargsyan gave appraisal of the joint exercises which is a proof of close cooperation in the field of defense.
