Tbilisoba festival in Georgia today
Georgia
Today, the Georgian capital Tbilisi celebrates City Day, known as ‘Tbilisoba’. This year the city’s administration decided to hold the festival early, as the weather might get cold in late October.
The festivities started on October 7 with concerts. Today, traditional entertainments such as a public wine press and ferry-boat trips on the River Kura are open to the public, as well as popular music concerts and a motor show.
The winners of the ‘Gala’ literature contest will also be named in the framework of the celebration.
