On September 24, politician Kalman Shuto accused Victor Orban “on the basis of suspicion on betrayal”, legalportal.am reports.
Shuto addresses to Prosecutor General of Central Investigation both in his letter of September 21 and in the document handed to the Prosecutor’s office on September 24 and asks to initiate a criminal case against Victor Orban “on the basis of suspicion on betrayal”.
According to the politician’s indictment, Victor Orban made a decision on Safarov’s extradition on August 30, ignoring the warnings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice. Victor Orban was aware that the convicted citizen of Azerbaijan would be accepted as a hero in his country and most probably he’d be granted amnesty.
According to Shuto the PM committed a betrayal crime in accordance with Article 145 of Criminal Code- abusing of state and official duties and endangering Hungary’s Constitutional order.
