Greece could leave Eurozone within six months, says Swedish PM

Greece may have to leave the eurozone within six months, according to Sweden’s finance minister.
Anders Borg said it was “most probable” Greece will quit the single currency, Independent.ie reports.
“We shouldn’t rule out this happening in the next half-year,” he added.
Borg, who was speaking in Tokyo where he is attending the IMFs annual meetings, has been a vocal opponent of Greece’s continued place in the euro and the proposed commonsupervision of Europe banks. up to now.
A so-called “Grexit” probably wouldn’t have a major impact on the financial system, “since in practice everyone already understands which way the wind is blowing,” he added.
The international troika is looking for Greece to cut another €13.5bn out of its budget in order to keep receiving aid payments.
Borg’s comments come less than a week after Germany’sAngela Merkel visited the country in a show of support for Greece’s place in the Euro.
Meanwhile, Germany’s Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said on Sunday that Greece would not default, but warned that if Athens did exit the eurozone it would be damaging not only for the zone as a whole but also for Greece.
"I think, it will not happen that there will be a state bankrupt in Greece," Schaeuble said at a meeting with business leaders in Singapore.
