Vassilis Maragos: EU-Armenia visa facilitation process yielding very good results

The EU is aware of the situation regarding the liberalization of EU-Armenia visas, it is studying the situation, and it has discussed the matter with the embassies of the EU member states, too, because in the end, the embassies are responsible for issuing visas. The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, stated this to reporters Tuesday. The visa facilitation process is yielding very good results, and many Armenians have already visited the EU, Maragos said.  He noted that they are ready to continue discussions regarding EU-Armenia visa liberalization, but they have to wait for some time and see what results these processes give, in order to continue this dialogue.  There should be a consensus of all EU member states on this matter, recalled the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.
