Lasha Darsalia: Georgia supports Armenia's peaceful initiatives
PoliticalGeorgia supports the Crossroads of Peace initiative of Armenia. This was announced by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia, in his address Thursday at the Ministerial Meeting of Landlocked Developing Countries, which Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan is hosting. According to him, Georgia supports its good friend and partner, Armenia.Also, Darsalia lauded Armenia's efforts, which are "important for the entire region."In his words, Georgia supports the peaceful neighborhood initiatives presented by the prime minister of Armenia. The South Caucasus is becoming an important region from the point of view of communications and the Middle Corridor. In this context, the approaches of the Armenian government are important, Darsalia said, adding that they can expect Georgia’s support in this regard. In addition, the deputy FM of Georgia reminded that the matter of Georgia's application for EU membership will be resolved soon.
"We all wish the brothers and sisters of Georgia the best of luck on the occasion of that very important expected fact, event," responded Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan.
