Yerevan Council of Elders convenes meeting, there is protest outside city hall building

The Yerevan Council of Elders is convening a session Tuesday, with 29 matters on its agenda, and 14 of which will not be reported on.

The draft decisions on approving Yerevan's 2024 budget, approving Yerevan's development plan for 2024, and approving Yerevan's development plan for 2024-2028 are among the matters on the agenda.

The agenda includes as well the draft of amendments on local taxes and fees, by which the annual fee for parking spaces in downtown Yerevan will increase from 12,000 drams to 160,000 drams.

At the moment, the opposition Mother Armenia bloc is protesting in front of the Yerevan city hall building.
