Azerbaijan claims its soldier crossed into Armenia due to ‘unfavorable weather conditions’
WorldAzerbaijan has claimed that its soldier had crossed into Armenia due to “unfavorable weather conditions.”
"On the morning of February 28, a soldier of the Azerbaijan Army, Panakhov Ruslan Eldaniz, due to unfavorable weather conditions became disoriented and got lost while moving between service positions in the territory of the Lachin region," APA reported, citing the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
It added that the search activities to find the serviceman are being continued.
Meanwhile, the National Security Service of Armenia informed about the capture of an Azerbaijani serviceman who crossed the border in the direction of Armenia’s Tegh village. The latter’s residents inform about two Azerbaijani soldiers; one was captured, but the second one managed to escape. Azerbaijan, however, does not talk about the second soldier.
