Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about the threat of war with Azerbaijan is not related to Russia. The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Maria Zakharova, stated this on Telegram.

"What have the new curators of the European Union, NATO, and Washington brought about? Please note: this statement is in no way related to Russia. It is the jurisdiction of solely the current authorities of Yerevan and the result of their consultations with the West," wrote Zakharova.

Speaking with the residents of Armenia’s several border villages, PM Pashinyan had said that if Yerevan does not carry out Baku's demands to hand over a number of border villages to Azerbaijan, war will start.
