EU closed skies to Turkish airline because of its ties to Russia
PublicationsThe European Union has refused to allow the Turkish Southwind Airlines to operate flights between Turkey and EU countries due to its ties with Russia, Turkish media reports.
The legal basis for this was the sanctions regulation against Russia of July 31, 2014.
According to media reports, Southwind Airlines has scheduled flights to Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart, as well as Heraklion, Greece.
