Turkey's opposition will demand snap presidential election

Turkish analysts assume that after the victory in the local elections, the opposition will demand an snap election of the president, RIA Novosti reports.

 

Experts noted that the reason for the defeat of Erdogan's party is the difficult economic situation in the country: high inflation (65%), insufficient pensions.

 

According to political analysts, Justice and Development Party was also damaged by the fact that during the local government election campaign, most of the ministers participated in rallies to support their party candidates. On the other hand, despite the human tragedy in Gaza, the government did not stop trade with Israel, did not resort to a boycott.
