Announcement date for new iPad Pro and iPad Air already known
PublicationsApple's first-ever iPad Pro with an OLED screen and iPad Air with a 13-inch display are likely to be presented between May 6 and May 12, 2024. This was reported by MacRumors with reference to well-known insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.
"For those looking for more specific timing, I'm told the launch will probably happen the week of May 6," Gurman wrote in his new Power On newsletter.
According to the insider, marketing materials will begin to arrive in Apple retail stores this week, which also indicates that the official announcement of the tablets is expected very soon.
What is known about the new iPad Pro and iPad Air?
The two new iPad Pro models (11-inch and 13-inch) will feature an M3 chip, an OLED display, a thinner body and narrower screen bezels, as well as a landscape-oriented front-facing camera and possibly support for MagSafe wireless charging.
New iPad Air models (also 11 and 13 inches) will most likely receive an M2 chip and a landscape-oriented front camera. The remaining details will become known at the announcement of the devices.
According to rumors, along with the tablets, Apple will also introduce a new Magic Keyboard with an aluminum keyboard for the iPad Pro and a third-generation Apple Pencil stylus.
