Armenia will appoint a military attaché to the United Kingdom
WorldArmenia will appoint a military attaché to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The draft decision has been included in the agenda for the April 12 session of the government.
The rationale highlights the ongoing expansion of Armenia-UK cooperation in the field of defense, evident in the increasing number of Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia personnel and Armed Forces members undergoing English language training, as well as leadership courses for senior and junior United Kingdom command staff.
Additionally, it encompasses participation in multinational peacekeeping and demining operations, along with the conduct of annual defense, strategic, and military-political consultations.
"The great potential of cooperation between the two countries in the military and military-technical sphere and the great interest shown by the British in deepening the cooperation in the recent period are due to the need to have a military attaché of the Republic of Armenia in the United Kingdom," it is stated in the rationale.
The military attaché will commence his duties on January 1, 2025.
