Armenia started reforms of army and armed forces, and this is being discussed in particular in Azerbaijan: Pashinyan
BlogosphereArmenia has started reforms of the army and armed forces, and this is also being discussed in particular in Azerbaijan, that the acquisition of weapons and ammunition by Armenia means that Armenia does not want peace, it has aggressive goals. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made such an observation during the Global Armenian Summit, emphasizing in this context that Armenia has no territorial demands from its neighbors.
“First of all, I want to say that the UN Charter, if I'm not mistaken, Article 51, gives every country the opportunity to take necessary measures for its self-defense.
And I say again that Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of all the countries of the region, it has no territorial claims from any country.
Yes, we have occupied territories, more than 200 square kilometers, but I also want to say that the Government of Armenia has no intention to return these territories by military means. Why, because we believe that, in particular, the recently signed regulation with Azerbaijan on the joint work of delimitation commissions gives an opportunity and makes it likely that we will be able to solve our problem through negotiations in the delimitation process,” Pashinyan said.
