The interlocutors discussed issues related to the development of Armenian-Indian trade and economic relations, the expansion of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and industry. The minister proposed to consider the option of building a copper smelter in Armenia using the advanced technologies of India.
Gevorg Papoyan also suggested the possibility of deepening cooperation in the jewelry sector and representing Armenia with a national pavilion at Indian jewelry exhibitions.
Emphasizing that the Armenian government attaches importance to the chemical and metallurgical industry, the minister invited Indian companies to cooperate with the Armenian side within the framework of "Green Chemistry" projects.
The organization of international and specialized exhibitions and business forums was emphasized on both sides in order to promote cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
The parties also referred to the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which can become an important component of both regional and wider economic cooperation.
