Iran President Raisi’s funeral to be held Tuesday in Tabriz

The funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the people accompanying him will take place on Tuesday, May 21 in the city of Tabriz. This was stated by Hassan Hakikian, a high-ranking official in charge of political and electoral affairs of the governorate of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, reported Tasnim News Agency.

"The funeral ceremony will take place tomorrow in Tabriz. The bodies of the dead will be sent to Tabriz. First, a forensic medical examination will be conducted," Hakikian said Monday.

President Ebrahim Raisi and several other Iranian officials were killed in a helicopter crash Sunday evening.
