Don't overpay for performance: Most powerful midrange smartphones in April
PoliticalYou don’t have to pay exorbitant sums for a phone with good performance: a powerful smartphone can be bought at a relatively affordable price, and the new AnTuTu rating proves this.
The benchmark presented a list of the most powerful mid-budget smartphones in April 2024.
The leader of the rating was OnePlus Ace 3V, equipped with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip and scoring 1.44 million points in AnTuTu. For comparison, the flagship gaming Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro with a top processor shows a result of 2.12 million points. But at the same time, prices for OnePlus Ace 3V start at $380, and for Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro – at $1,065.
The top three also included Realme GT Neo6 SE (another smartphone powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, with 1.42 million points) and Redmi K70E (a powerful device with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, scoring 1.37 million points). Prices for the first start at $235, and for the second at $276.
Next come Realme GT Neo5 SE (1.14 million points, from $478) and Redmi Note 12 Turbo (1.13 million points, from $260), running on Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. Devices based on MediaTek are also included in the list Dimensity 8200:
- Oppo Reno 11 (994,000 points, starting at $430),
- iQOO Neo7 SE (968,000 points, from $389),
- iQOO Z8 (968,000 points, starting at $250),
- Redmi Note 12T Pro (885,000 points with overclocked Dimensity 8200 Ultra, starting at $294).
Rounding out the top ten is the OnePlus Ace, equipped with the Dimensity 8100 Max and scoring 881,000 points in AnTuTu. Prices start at $380.
Today's market offers a wide range of powerful smartphones at more affordable prices compared to flagships. When choosing a model, you should focus not only on the benchmark results, but also on other important characteristics, such as camera, screen, battery life and design.
