Driverless truck hits 29 children in Kyrgyzstan
PoliticalA driverless mini truck hit 29 children during a holiday in the Suzak district of Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan told reporters on Thursday.
"29 children were injured as a result of the collision. Three of them are now in critical condition. Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev has taken the situation of providing aid to the victims under personal control," said a representative of the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.
A mini truck that was parked in a parking lot suddenly started moving and, rolling down the hill, hit the children who were preparing to recite the Kyrgyz national epic Manas at a festival, the press service of the road safety department of Kyrgyzstan told reporters.
According to the department, the driver was not driving the vehicle at that time.
