Finance minister, World Bank official discuss launch of new bank-assisted programs in Armenia
BlogosphereMinister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan on Monday received Eugene Rhuggenaath, the World Bank (WB) Group Executive Director representing the constituency of countries that includes Armenia.
The parties discussed the results of the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and WB boards of governors held in Washington, Armenia's Ministry of Finance informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The minister thanked the WB executive director for properly representing Armenia at the WB Board of Governors and for expressing and supporting the views of the Armenian side in the discussions of programs related to Armenia.
Speaking about the progress and possible developments of the WB-assisted programs in Armenia, the parties discussed also ways to expand further cooperation, in particular, the launch of new programs.
Furthermore, the parties agreed to continue their effective cooperation—and with the goal of achieving the specified results.
