Mikheil Saakashvili presented the former rector of the Military Academy of Georgia Andro Barnov to the post of Shida Kartli region governor, and one of the leaders of the United National Movement Khatuna Ochiauri to the position of Mtskheta-Tianeti region governor, the president's administration said on Saturday.

The governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region was replaced earlier this week.

The new parliamentary majority composed of supporters of Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's Georgian Dream coalition intend to transfer power to appoint governors to the Prime Minister.
