Georgian border Police Chief not to take up post of deputy Iterior Minister
Georgia
The Georgian border police chief will not hold the position of deputy interior minister simultaneously.
A point was removed from the law 'On Border Police', whereby the border police chief is also Deputy Interior Minister.
The Prime Minister appoints a Georgian Border Police Chief on the recommendation of the Interior Minister and with the approval of the president.
The president dismisses him from the post at his own initiative, or the prime minister dismisses him on the recommendation of the Interior Minister.
