Governor of Armenia's Syunik Region Suren Khachatryan was summoned to the Special Investigation Service in relation with the case on beating business-woman Silva Hambardzumyan at Armenia Marriott Hotel's lobby.

Armenian business-woman Silva Hambardzumyan filed the lawsuit as a result of being beaten by Khachatryan at Armenia Marriott hotel on Monday.

Important to note that he dismissed reports saying he would leave Armenia for France where his son studied.

"I have no intention to leave the country. My son is studying at the Goris State University. I love my country and will never go somewhere else," he said.
