Lori Regional Prosecutor instructed to check the circumstances noted in the article.

Armenian Chief Prosecutor’s Office reacted to the article and the photographs posted in press, on November 19, 2011. The article noted the illegal cutting of around 200 trees, at Odzun-Arevatsag road section of the Lori Region, and the corresponding agencies’ not taking measures toward its prevention, recording, and uncovering.    

In connection with this incident, the Lori Regional Prosecutor instructed the appropriate agencies to check the circumstances noted in the article.

And if the circumstances are verified, a service investigation will be launched against personnel of the precinct police  serving the aforesaid area, and the results will be submitted to those carrying out the proceedings.
