Kiosks may be substituted by small trading centers in downtown Yerevan.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with representatives of the “Protection of the Interests of Kiosk Owners” Committee, and discussed the dismantling of kiosks in the capital. 

The Committee members presented their concerns over the dismantling of kiosks and conveyed the kiosk owners’ respective concerns.

In his turn, Taron Margaryan introduced the objective of this process. He stressed that the matter of dismantling temporary constructions in downtown Yerevan’s Abovyan Street will be resolved, at first. He also noted that those functioning kiosks located outside the downtown streets would not be dismantled.    

The Mayor also informed that they are currently examining the project toward establishing small shopping centers in Yerevan’s administrative regions. 

Taron Margaryan added that the city’s aesthetic look must be maintained and everything must be done so that kiosk owners’ interests would not suffer.
