NATO air raid kills 7 civilians in Kandahar province of Afghanistan.

According to local authorities in southern Afghanistan, at least seven Afghan civilians were killed because of an air raid by NATO-led international coalition forces in southern Kandahar province.
The officials further added, at least six Afghan children were among those killed during the air raid by NATO forces.
District chief of Zherai, southern Kandahar province, Niyaz Mohammad Sarahadi said, the incident took place late Wednesday when NATO troops were trying to target Taliban militants while they were planting improvised explosive devices on a raodside in the area.
Meanwhile, Afghan president Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the incident.
NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan confirming the incident said, probes into civilian casualties as a result of NATO air raid is in process.
