Today, on Nov. 28, Russian Patriarch Kiril I landed in “Zvartnots” international airport, Yerevan. Armenian Supreme Patriarch Garegin II, Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan and other senior officials met him in the airport.

In the early morning the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Department, Allashukur Pashazade, also arrived in Yerevan.

Yerevan hosts CIS Inter-Religious Council meeting. The official opening ceremony will kick off soon in Sport & Concert complex. President Serzh Sargsyan will also attend in the event.

Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia said he would not be attending the meeting.
