On November 28 Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan hosted EU special representative to South Caucasus Philippe Lefort, press service of Armenian Ministry of Defense informs.

Possibilities of Armenia-EU cooperation on military sphere were discussed during the meeting.

On the request of the quest Armenian Minister of Defense presented the situation on the border with Azerbaijan and asked the EU represntative to pay attention to the activation of Azerbaijani snipers.

Ph. Lefort ensured that he would do everything possible to assists OSCE MG mediators efforts to achieve some results. EU representative particularly said: "EU does not want to see new war in the South Caucasus. Peace in the region is in the EU interests".

"Armenian side strongly preserves the ceasefire regime as aims to solve NK issue peacefully. Armenian side answers to Azerbaijani snipers only for neutralizing them", Seyran Ohanyan underlined.
