RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan on November 29 received OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier, Robert Bradtke, Igor Popov and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
Bernard Fassier introduced the new French Co-Chair Jacques Faure. Seyran Ohanyan congratulated him and wished him success.
During the meeting, the Co-Chairs presented the Armenian Defense Minister the process of negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and underlined the importance of maintaining the ceasefire regime. They also stated that the incidents recorded on the line of contact went to show that it was necessary to introduce mechanisms for an international investigation into the incidents.
Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan presented the situation on the line of contact of the Armenian and Azerbaijani forces and mentioned that the Azerbaijani snipers' provocations were putting at risk the Minsk Group Co-Chairs' efforts to form an atmosphere of mutual confidence between the conflicting sides.
