Criminal proceedings, on charges of illegal trafficking of large amount of drugs, but without selling them, are launched against Armen Hovhannisyan, the Arpa-Sevan Company's Head of Operations at Kechut Reservoir.
To note, the police officers had detained, on Monday, nearby the Reservoir in Armenia's Vayots Dzor Region, and on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs, a 46-year-old man in a car. The police discovered a 7.5 gram and 5.5 gram marijuana-like substance in the man's possession and in his car respectively. According to "Hraparak" daily, Armen Hovhannisyan is the head of the Jermuk city division of the ruling coalition's Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). The discovered substance is sent for testing, and an investigation is underway.
