A new program launches in Byurakan Observatory of Armenia.

Byurakan Observatory universal waste monitoring program will be launched in January 2012.

Observatory Director Hayk Harutyunyan has informed, that Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory will join the project of following the universal waste and  system of warning about dangerous situations in the territory of space close to the Earth. The project will be implemented under the UNO auspices, to which dozens of countries are participating.
The project will be financed by Russian "Roskosmos" universal program. Financing amount will be about 2 million dollars, which will serve to repair or replace with new ones 5 telescopes of the observatory.
