The executive body and the political council of the Republican Party of Armenia ended their joint session on Dec. 1.

During the session, the members discussed the nominations for the new NA Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Samvel Nikoyan was nominated as NA Chairman, and Eduard Sharmazanov was nominated as Vice-Chairman. Sharmazanov will continue to be the party's speaker. Gagik Melikyan was appointed secretary of the RPA faction.
