Armenian-German conference on "Green economy".

German society for international cooperation (GIZ) organizes Armenian-German conference on "Green economy" on December 6. Its motto for this year is “Responsible economic action - sustainable development”.

The conference aims to reveal potential investment solutions for the ‘harmless’ economic development.

“GIZ supports Armenian government to establish more sustainable economy through the legal, environmental, territorial self-government and private sector development projects. We believe that economies based on green principles are more prospective and sustainable for future,” head of GIZ Coordination Office in Armenia James Macbeth said.

High ranking representatives from Germany, Armenian Government, Parliament, and private organizations are expected to participate in the conference. The participants will form working groups to express their viewpoints on the issue and discuss precedents and successful examples. The groups will discuss the following topics: green communities, sustainable/organic agriculture/economy, business and biodiversity.
