Russian presidential chief-of-staff Sergei Ivanov has admitted he sees no prospects at the moment for reaching an agreement with the United States on missile defense issues.
"I do not yet see any light at the end of the tunnel" in this discussion with the U.S., Ivanov said in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper published on Tuesday.
"The configuration of global forces or security remains unchanged. We have to take this into consideration. I would like to tell you that we bear it in mind as we plan and develop appropriate systems of weapons. We have no other choice," he said.
