MP Armen Martirosyan: "Electoral Code is exclusively coalition Code".

The will to conduct free and fair elections in Armenia has become a bird which is flying in the sky for twenty years and we are unable to catch it, opposition Heritage Party MP Armen Martirosyan stated during Tuesday’s discussion at the Armenian Center for Political and International Studies.
“Truly, if this ‘political will’ exists, it will be possible to hold normal elections with the Electoral Code that is adopted so far. But the whole problem is that, except for the elections in 1990 and 1991, we have regularly seen the society’s vehement discontent over the elections,” the opposition MP stressed and continued: “That is, we have not had normal elections to date, and therefore it is early to speak about democracy. We are still on the road to democracy, but, sadly, instead of moving forward, we are moving backward over the course of time.”
