Armenian opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party MP Artsvik Minasyan specified four important conditions for conducting fair elections in Armenia. Minasyan presented these conditions during Tuesday’s discussion at the Armenian Center for Political and International Studies.
The MP specified these points: “First, on the day of the elections the people must set aside 20 minutes and participate in the elections, so that other people are not allowed to vote instead of those who did not participate. Second, there must be 10-20 people in 2,000 polling stations, so that no oligarch would dictate his rules of the game. If necessary, those people must be ready to intervene in the process, which is not prohibited by the law. Third, legal guidance must be secured in the election process, since we have had elections when the society lost because of not having sufficient legal evidence. And fourth, video recordings must be made in particularly risky polling stations.”
