The Swiss businessman, "Franck Muller" watch company co-founder and main director Vartan Sirmakes will occupy the position of Armenia's Consul in Marseille.

As "Mediamax" reports, Vartan Sirmakes has been  one of the owners of Yerevan "Ararat" football club.

With official working visit, President Serzh Sargsyan will also leave for Marseille today, who tomorrow, on December 8 will attend the opening ceremony of Armenian general consulate in Marseille.

Approving RA President`s edict of the project of establishing a consulate in Marseille, the Government indicated that the establishment of the consulate in France would promote the development of tourism and trade ties.

In the frames of the consular district will be included Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Languedoc & Roussillon, Midi-Pyrenees regions and Corsica.
