Armenia's Consul to Batumi Garik Israelyan met on Thursday with Batumi's Mayor Robert Chkheidze.

Outlining Batumi's development prospects, Chkhaidze emphasized municipal authorities' willingness to broaden cooperation in the culture, economy and tourism sectors with Republic of Armenia state agencies and private businesses.

The interlocutors discussed prospects for developing trade, economic, and cultural ties, the potential for a qualitative progress in tourism, and other issues of mutual interest.
