Encouragement to drug addicts or an attempt to find a good thing in a bad one?

The drug addicts could work at Armenia’s strategic objects, and without any restrictions. This might be possible by the Government’s decision, made on Thursday, with respect to approving the bill on making a change in the Law on Drugs and Psychotropic Materials.
The bill proposes to declare null and void the Law’s provision whereby the Government is obligated to prepare a list of professional activities and to ban drug addicts from working at some strategic objects, specifically the Nuclear Power Plant, water supply systems, and medical facilities.
And as the basis for this initiative, the Government mentions Georgia, where such restrictions do not exist, but there is no nuclear plant there, either.
It is noteworthy that the Health Ministry’s expert conclusion gave a negative assessment to this initiative by the Minister Harutyun Kushkyan. And despite presenting such negative conclusion, the Minister still proposed the Government to decline from the profession lists that prohibit drug addicts from working in certain occupations.
