Zaruhi Postanjyan: "All we, like a one person should defend the votes of our citizens".

Heritage party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan was involved in the PACE delegation to observe the Sunday parliamentary elections in Russia.
Today, Mrs. Postanjyan presented Armenian journalists the violations recorded at 20 polling stations. According to the Heritage MP, she observed large-scale rigging and ballot-box stuffing at one of the polling stations.
"The Russian Election Code requires that the unused ballots be destroyed promptly after the vote, but it did not happen. As an observer we had no right to reprove for their ill behaviour," Zaruhi Postanjyan told journalists in Yerevan.
She blamed the gross violations on the inactivity of mass media, NGOs and parties.
"There were no NGO representatives in any of the 20 polling stations I visited," she said.
Zaruhi Postanjyan is convinced that Armenian authorities will ‘follow the example of their elder brother' and will attempt to rig the 2012 parliamentary elections in Armenia. However, she warns the Armenian leadership to beware of obstacles.
"All their endeavours will fail if they meet serious surveillance," she stressed.
